Zambia

Zambia is the Africa of old. If ever you wanted to hunt in a pure environment that is completely wild and fair chase, then this is the place to be. One of the regions we hunt is the beautiful, yet rugged Luangwa Valley. This is an extension of the great Rift Valley and is considered the origin of humankind. Many artifacts, dating thousands of years are testimony that man has been a part of this beautiful and bountiful area for a very long time. Hunting here is done predominately along the Luangwa River and its surrounds. Game abounds here and hunters can encounter many different species, including large herds of Elephant and Buffalo and various species of plains game. This is an area that requires a fair level of fitness, as hunting is predominantly done on foot and long hours can be spent pursuing game. We also hunt Western Zambia, as well as the Kafue and Bangweulu swamps. These are all first-class hunting destinations.
The pristine 1,000,000 acre West Petauke Game Management Area is situated in the South Luangwa Valley, an extension of the famous Rift Valley.

Renowned for its unspoilt beauty and varied habitats the Luangwa Valley supports one of Africa’s richest concentrations of wildlife and birds. The geology is varied and embraces both escarpments and valley floor. Dry sandy riverbeds, streams and lagoons create the ideal habitat for the hunting of big game. Elevation runs from 1200meters (4300ft.) in the hills to 450meters (1350 ft.) at river level.

Safaris are normally conducted following the traditional style of walk and stalk and although we make use of fully equipped safari vehicles we adhere to the old hunting traditions, without compromising success.

For bow hunters we offer makeshift blinds at selected natural waterholes. Safaris are often tailor-made to suit individual needs.

The Luangwa riverbank offers some of the finest hunting on foot found anywhere in Africa.

The ultimate adventure is only for those who enjoy the rigors of walking and the thrill of the chase in a specialized Buffalo hunt. The hunt is conducted in hill country where large cantankerous bulls live out their last days in isolation. In traditional style a select team of porters and trackers will porter the necessary equipment deep into the foothills of the Muchinga escarpment. It is one of the finest hunts available and shooting is often up close and personal. A fully equipped lightweight camp enables us to follow the movement of these bulls.
